Statement
These works are abstract meditations. My work offers a structured, yet random convergence of color, linearity, flowing form, and scintillating light. I work with acrylic paint on wood panel. I also employ disparate materials in creating 2D and 3D works. Composition is a very important and foundational aspect of my work and I spend a great deal of time considering the form and the line, searching for a spatial beauty that is akin to a composed logic. I am fascinated by the geometry of nature, its inherent underlying math as my works are informed by geometry. I am equally preoccupied by the random, undefined and vulnerable aspects of nature, which are only seemingly antithetical to the geometric. It is the convergence of these unique forces that excites my work and creates a tension where the structured geometry encounters the undefined and the random. In my work I seek a place where love and logic manifest an harmonic alliance.
